A collection of words and images of life in Northumbria and beyond

About Jon Storey

Born in the nineteen fifties and brought up in Co Durham, I studied graphic design at Carlisle and then went to live on the  beautiful Isle of Man where I made my home for twenty four years.

In 2005 I returned to live in the North East of England, in Northumberland just over the border from my home county.

This Blog is a continuation of stuff started in another place. All the pictures are taken on the day they were posted, although very occasionally, one from another time or place may appear to make some point or other. Even more rarely I may write something moderately intelligent to accompany the images! I enjoyed taking the pictures and I hope you enjoy looking at them and would love to read your comments.

  1. Hi Jon
Stocksfield Spinners Guild meeting this Saturday is held in a building that is down the road opposite the Railway Station. I think the road is called Mount View Terrace. All I know is that when I see the Railway station, I turn right and it’s at the very top of the road. It will have a board out side

  2. John, your photography and little stories are wonderful, I have thoroughly enjoyed looking through them, going way back to ages ago. It is so great to see that you are still as keen on photography as when you were at Carlisle Art College. Notice you’re still in touch with Charlie Brown. Do you ever hear from John Taylor? Lovely to hear about your family and all their antics. Also love the way you love nature and of course Wolter is a star!
